Over the past 3-5 years we’ve watched as portable LiDAR-based SLAM platforms have become more ubiquitous for surveying and mapping applications across a broad swath of industries around the world. Understanding the strengths and limitations of any scanning platform is critical for understanding how it can be used in the field.

In this whitepaper, we evaluated the accuracy of the Nexys Pro as it would be used for an everyday industrial surveying use case. This test was aimed to validate the Nexys Pro’s ability to accurately map a combined outdoor and multi-room indoor structure which would apply to a wide variety of mapping use cases and environments.
